Apple Picking – September 30, 2012

What a glorious day! A bunch of MESS students (and friends!) hopped on a big yellow school bus to head to Rougemont for the afternoon. Once we arrived at Verger 3 pommes, we tasted and selected apples from an overwhelming number of choices in the idyllic apple orchard. When the apple picking process was complete, we warmed up with some yummy soup, sausages, and coffee from the tiny farm store. Already plans were being made about the fate of our delicious apples – apple crumble, apple muffins, apple sauce… so many possibilities! All too soon, our happy bellies were back on the bus to the city, satisfied that we’d taken a great break from our studies.
