On Friday, Nov. 4th MESS hosted its first bi-annual Meet the Profs Wine and Cheese. Environment students packed ARTS 160 to listen to Professors Frederic Fabry, Nigel Roulet, Kathy Roulet, Pete Parker, Brian Leung, Colin Chapman, and Renee Sieber, and soon-to-be post doc student Aerin Jacob, introduce themselves and present their research within two to three minutes. The professors’ brief talks stimulated student thinking, and as students and professors mingled over wine, cheese, grapes, and hummus, they could discuss the work professors were doing in greater detail. Professor Adam Millard-Ball also swung by the event later that evening to mix with students.
We wanted to thank all the professors who participated in this event and helped contribute to the sense of community within the MSE.
We had a great student turn out, and we look forward to seeing more MSE students at our next events!
